A Palms Up Leadership Cohort is a nine-month intentionally curated space where leaders can flourish. We deeply value intention, collaboration, curiosity and joy as we grow together.
As our United Methodist denomination (and beyond) continue to discern our next steps, there is a need for peer-led, grassroots, collaborative spaces for leaders to grow together that don’t require extensive conference resource support.
This cohort is for church planters and existing church pastors who find themselves in need of friends and colleagues for this journey of healthy sustainable leadership. We’re tired of competing with each other. We want to partner together in new ways to grow as humans, followers of Jesus and leaders in the church. We believe this happens best in relationship with our peers. And we believe the collaboration of planters and existing pastors can stretch each other in effective ways for God’s community.
How does it work?

Hosted by: Rev. Jenny Smith and the team at Marysville United Methodist Church feel called to host this space for the 2019-2020 ministry year. As with everything we do, it’s an experiment! We’re curious about what could happen when Multiplying Ministry leaders, with similar language and experience, continue to gather for support, accountability and creative work together.
